The Della Peruta Group has been a family-run enterprise for three generations, dedicated to the cultivation and trade of agricultural products, particularly tomatoes. Our journey began with supplying tomatoes to canning industries, a venture that allowed previous generations to gain invaluable experience in product processing. This foundation of knowledge, passed down and refined over the years, paved the way for our entry into the transformation of agricultural products in 1989, solidifying our presence in the production sector.
Initially established as San Marzano Sud Srl, our company evolved through several name changes, becoming Tomato Napoli Srl in 2001, Della Peruta Vincenzo Srl in 2013, and finally Della Peruta Vincenzo SpA in 2015. In 2018, we expanded further by acquiring our second ICAA plant, further consolidating our group while retaining our original brands: San Marzano Sud, Bella Napoli, and La Caterina.
The Della Peruta family oversees every aspect of production and processing. Our tomatoes are sourced from our own fields and those of the cooperative we belong to, all cultivated under our strict supervision. We ensure that our fields are carefully evaluated and selected based on rigorous criteria. Throughout the entire production process, from seed to harvest, we maintain control, verifying each stage to ensure compliance with integrated production protocols.
Our production capacity exceeds 5,000 containers annually, with approximately 40% allocated to the retail market and 60% to the catering sector. Notably, around 85-90% of our production is exported, reaching markets in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Our workforce varies from 60 to 250 employees, depending on the production season.
Quality is at the heart of our mission. We have implemented a rigorous quality control system, certified by international authorities, to ensure the excellence and efficiency of our entire production process. Our future objectives include promoting zero-mile tomatoes at our Acerra facility, maintaining high-quality standards through our chain processes, and developing new ready-to-eat sauces in glass containers.
